Cyber, AI and Robotics – Dr. Robert J. Bunker
Robert J. Bunker is the director of research and analysis and a managing partner of C/O Futures, LLC. An international security and counterterrorism professional, he was Futurist in Residence at the Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, VA, Minerva Chair at the Strategic Studies Institute (SSI) of the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, PA, and has taught at American Military University, California State University San Bernardino, Claremont Graduate University, and the University of Southern California. Dr. Bunker holds degrees in the fields of history, anthropology-geography, social science, behavioral science, government, and political science and has trained extensively in counterterrorism and counternarcotics. He has also delivered hundreds of presentations—including US congressional testimony—with well over 700 publications across various fields and formats. He can be reached at docbunker@cofutures.net
Urban Operations, Law and Policing, Intelligence Studies – Dr. John P. Sullivan
John P. Sullivan served as a career police officer. He is an honorably retired lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, specializing in emergency operations, transit policing, counterterrorism, and intelligence. He is currently a Research Fellownat the Future Security Initiative at Arizona State University, Senior Fellow at Small Wars Journal-El Centro, a Senior Fellow at the Urban Warfare Institute, and an Instructor in the Center on National Defense and Public Safety at the Sol Price School of Public Policy, University of Southern California. Sullivan received a lifetime achievement award from the National Fusion Center Association in November 2018 for his contributions to the national network of intelligence fusion centers. He completed the CREATE Executive Program in Counter-Terrorism at the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the College of William and Mary, a Master of Arts in Urban Affairs and Policy Analysis from the New School for Social Research, and a PhD from the Open University of Catalonia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya).
Transnational Crime, Social Network Analysis, Terrorism – Dr. Nathan P. Jones
Nathan P. Jones is an Associate Professor of Security Studies in the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. He is the author of Mexico’s Illicit Drug Networks and the State Reaction (2016) with Georgetown University Press and co-editor of Urban Operations: War, Crime and Conflict with KeyPoint Press 2024. His areas of interest include organized crime violence in Mexico, drug trafficking organizations, social network analysis, border security, and the political economy of homeland security. Dr. Jones is a Senior Fellow with the Small Wars Journal–El Centro, a Rice University Baker Institute Drug Policy and US-Mexico Center non-resident scholar, the book review editor for the Journal of Strategic Security and the International Journal of Police Science, and the Chair of the Security Studies Department.
Latin America, Criminology, Climate Security – Dr. Daniel Weisz Argomedo
Daniel Weisz Argomedo is a political scientist with a PhD in Political Science from the University of California Irvine, focusing on International Relations and Comparative Studies. He holds an M.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alberta. He is a lecturer at the criminology department in UCI. His research interests include cyberwarfare, the war on drugs, women's security, and contemporary Latin American politics and history. Weisz Argomedo is fluent in Spanish and has contributed to various academic publications, including the Journal of Strategic Security.
