🏙️ 80% of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. What does this mean for global security?

The battlefields of tomorrow won't be in remote deserts or open fields – they'll be in the megacities where billions of people call home. From the favelas of Brazil to the sprawling metropolises of Asia, urban environments are becoming the new theaters of war, crime, and conflict.

"Urban Operations: War, Crime, and Conflict" brings together leading experts to examine this critical shift. This groundbreaking collection explores:

Real-world case studies – From the Battle of Hue to modern cartel sieges in Mexico
Emerging threats – Terrorist swarming, criminal insurgencies, and hybrid warfare
Cutting-edge challenges – AI in military targeting, underground operations, civilian protection
Future implications – How megacities will reshape national security

Recently selected for the prestigious Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Book Program, this isn't just academic theory – it's essential reading for military professionals, security analysts, policymakers, and anyone who wants to understand where conflict is heading.

The question isn't whether urban warfare will increase – it's whether we'll be prepared for it.
